Three essential devices for electrical equipment maintenance
Three Essential Devices for Electrical Equipment Repair
With the rapid development of technology in the field of electrical industrial control, the upgrading and replacement of devices and equipment is being carried out on a large scale, and the social demand for the maintenance of such products is also increasing day by day.
In order to meet social needs, some electrical workers want to join this industry. For these colleagues, they may have mastered sufficient theoretical knowledge and are equipped with various tools, multimeters, and even expensive oscilloscopes, but these alone are far from enough for actual repair work! Therefore, based on many years of repair experience, the following introduces three essential repair devices.
1. Isolation Transformer
At present, the operating voltage of most electrical and industrial control equipment is AC220V/AC380V. In the actual maintenance and debugging process, if the power grid is used directly, a slight carelessness may lead to electric shock accidents (even if there is a leakage protector, the feeling of being electrocuted is not pleasant!).
In order to avoid the above-mentioned dangerous situations, self-winding or purchasing a 220v:220v; 380v:380v; 220v:220v, 380V isolation transformer is definitely your essential repair tool! At the same time, in order to prevent short-circuit faults caused by incompletely eliminated faults during the inspection process from impacting the transformer and to avoid the expansion of faults in the equipment to be repaired, you can completely install a current-limiting device at the output end of the isolation transformer.
2. Adjustable DC Power Supply
In the actual repair process, different voltage levels of DC power supply are sometimes needed to test components as small as DC relays and LED light-emitting diodes; and for larger equipment, to debug and repair certain functional unit circuits. Due to the large number of required DC voltage levels in actual situations (such as 3.3V, ±5V, 9V, ±12V, ±15V, 24V, etc.), a DC adjustable power supply with continuously adjustable voltage levels and even output current that can be set to constant current mode is also a standard device in your repair work.
3. Incandescent Light Bulb
Perhaps many colleagues think that the author is joking—an incandescent light bulb, an antique that is about to be phased out, what is its use! In fact, in actual repair work, incandescent light bulbs have great uses: incandescent light bulbs act as current limiters, and can intuitively and quickly reflect the working state of the circuit; for electrical and industrial control equipment such as soft starters and inverters that need to be loaded and tested, it is somewhat unrealistic to configure expensive and large-sized motors. In this case, a group of incandescent light bulbs connected in series can act as a dummy load, after all, the changes in voltage and frequency can be judged by observing the brightness and flickering of the incandescent light bulbs; furthermore, incandescent light bulbs are also the best choice for discharging large-capacity electrolytic energy storage (filtering) capacitors!
In addition to the three uses mentioned above, incandescent light bulbs have many other uses in practice, so it is definitely not wrong to prepare several 60W and 100W incandescent light bulbs!
